What is Gun Milan (Kundli Matching)?
Gun Milan, or Ashtakoot Milan, is the Vedic system of marriage compatibility that scores two birth charts out of 36 points across eight 'koots' (factors). It is the most widely used method for Kundli matching before a Hindu marriage and is based on the position of the Moon's nakshatra in each chart.

What is a good Gun Milan score?
A score below 18 is generally considered unfavourable. 18–24 is acceptable, 25–32 is a very good match, and 33–36 is excellent. However, the total alone is not enough — Bhakoot Dosha and Nadi Dosha must be checked even when the overall score is high, as both can override a strong number.
